My work is interdisciplinary and brings together the humanities and sciences through feminist, anti-racist, and anti-colonial theories—modes of inquiry that I firmly believe can reimagine any and all disciplines. A central question that runs through my teaching and research is studying how systems of oppression—which deploy a colonial, sexist, and anti-black logic—have shaped what we know, how we understand our world, and our relationship with one another. The reading lists for my courses draw from feminist philosophy, black feminist theory, critical philosophy of race, literary theory, bioethics, and philosophy of science. At York, I have taught or am currently teaching: Introduction to Philosophy, Beginning Informal Logic, Healthcare Ethics, and the Senior Interdisciplinary Studies Seminar.
